Julia Roberts is revealing she wasn't a fan of Dorit Kemsley's "Pretty Woman"-inspired anniversary present on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
The actress told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" Thursday that she's choosing not to remember the surprise gift from the "Real Housewives" cast member's husband, P.K. Kemsley.
"I blocked it out 'til this moment," said Roberts, 56 appearing lost for words about the homage to her 1990 film. "It was very strange, wasn't it?"
In this season's "RHOBH," as Dorit Kemsley is still navigating her PTSD from last season's break-in, her husband tries to surprise her for their eight-year anniversary with a "Pretty Woman"-style experience, complete with a rack of red gowns and a lavish dinner. (despite a momentary freak-out from the fashion designer, who is reeling from her lack of control over the situation). The couple wed in March 2015.
Later, the English businessman pulls out a $5,000,000 necklace to re-enact one of the film's most iconic scenes.
In the film, Richard Gere's Edward Lewis tells Roberts' Vivian Ward not to "get too excited" after presenting her with a necklace, because, "This is only on loan."
He then snaps the lid of the box shut, almost hitting her fingers. Ward then bursts out with laughter.
Roberts didn't think Dorit Kemsley was a fan of the anniversary surprise either.
"And, you think, the only thing that would've made it work, is if the necklace was the gift," the "Leave the World Behind" actress said. "And before she even settled her eyeballs on it, he was like, 'It's going back, baby.'"
She continued: "I didn't understand any of it."
